What these terms cover

These terms apply to NiceTiming Cloud, the server at https://nicetiming.app run by Belouar-Pruvot Mathis: the account, the sync of the extension's data, the web dashboard, published islands, teams and the island game played online. The VS Code extension is free to use under the licence that comes with it; using it needs no account.

Creating an account means accepting these terms. They may change: you are told on the site at least 30 days before a change that affects you, and you can delete your account at any time.

Your account

You need a valid email address and a password of at least 10 characters. Keep your password and your API tokens to yourself: whatever is done with them counts as done by you.

You must be at least 15 years old, or have the consent of a parent.

Your data stays yours

What you sync is yours. You can download all of it at any time (Settings, Download my data) and delete it, or delete the whole account. Nothing you sync is sold or used for advertising.

On the free plan, one computer syncs and the web dashboard shows your last 30 days; the rest of your history is kept, and shows again with Pro. The game online is open to every account, on every plan.

Fair play and good manners

The island game is computed by the server. Sending made-up activity, automating what a person is meant to do, using several accounts to trade with yourself, or exploiting a bug to gain coins or items is not allowed. The server may leave such activity out, and the operator may exclude an account from the rankings or suspend it.

Names, messages in bottles and guestbook entries are yours to write and your responsibility. Nothing unlawful, hateful or harassing. Anyone can report a message; the operator may remove content and block an account that breaks these rules.

Coins, items and creatures of the game have no value in money: they cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money.

The service

The service is provided as it is, with care but without a guarantee that it never stops. Maintenance and incidents can interrupt it; the extension keeps working on your computer meanwhile, and sync resumes afterwards.

Within what the law allows, the operator is liable only for direct damage it caused by a fault, and not for the loss of data you could have kept by downloading it.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time from Settings: your data is deleted, except what the law requires to be kept (invoices). Paid subscriptions are stopped first.

The operator may suspend or close an account that seriously breaks these terms, after telling its owner why, except when the law or an urgency requires otherwise.

Law

These terms are governed by French law. A consumer keeps the protection of the law of the country where they live.
